Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of Hapipy at hapipy.com, operated by Ali Tarek (“Hapipy”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, publishing anything, or replying to an invitation, you agree to them. Our Community & content guidelines and Privacy Policy form part of these terms.
1. The service
Hapipy provides private shared spaces (“worlds”), letters and proposals that can be sent by link, and a maker for event invitations with replies. Hapipy is currently free to use; there are no paid plans. Some public pages of the website show advertising served by Google. We may add, change or remove features, and will update these terms if that changes what you are agreeing to.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- An account is for one person. Give accurate information and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
3. Worlds
A world is shared by its members. Anyone you give your invite code and world password to can join it and see and change what is inside, so share them only with people you trust. Hapipy’s administrator has technical access to worlds, used as described in the Privacy Policy. To be removed from a world, contact us.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you write or upload. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display and process it only to run Hapipy for you — for example, to show your letter to the person who opens its link. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons.
You are responsible for your content and must have the right to share it, including the photographs, music and personal details of anyone else it contains.
5. Content shared by link
Letters, proposals and invitations can be opened by anyone who has their link, and a link can be forwarded. Invitations you choose to list publicly may appear in search engines. Publish only what you are comfortable with anyone seeing. Letters and proposals made without an account can only be removed by asking us.
6. Invitations and replies
If you publish an invitation, you are responsible for its content and for how you use the replies your guests send. If you reply to an invitation, your reply is shared with the invitation’s hosts.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Hapipy to:
- publish anything our guidelines prohibit, including sexual content involving minors, sexually explicit material in anything shared by link, non-consensual intimate images, harassment, hate, or content promoting violence or self-harm;
- monitor, track or control another person, or sign in to an account or world that is not yours;
- infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- send spam, run scams or phishing, impersonate anyone, or distribute malware;
- scrape the service, probe or bypass its security, or disrupt or overload it;
- do anything illegal.
8. Moderation and enforcement
Anyone can report content using the Report link on shared pages or by email. We may remove content, unpublish invitations, and suspend or close accounts and worlds that break these terms, and we report content that exploits children to the authorities. Where appropriate we will tell you what we did and why; you can reply if you think we got it wrong.
9. Copyright complaints
To report content that infringes your copyright, follow the steps in our guidelines or email tarekali192@gmail.com. We remove infringing content and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.
10. Hapipy’s name and software
The Hapipy name, logo, design and software belong to us. These terms do not give you any right to use them beyond using the service.
11. Third-party services
Hapipy relies on other providers, including Google (sign-in, database, analytics, advertising and fonts) and Cloudinary (file storage). Ads are provided by third parties; we are not responsible for advertisers’ products, sites or practices.
12. Availability and disclaimers
We work to keep Hapipy running and your content safe, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Hapipy and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Ending your use
You can stop using Hapipy at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing us from the address on it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
15. Changes
We will update the date at the top when these terms change. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site. Continuing to use Hapipy after a change means you accept it.
