Birthday invitations for a night, not a form
A birthday invitation should tell people what kind of evening it is before they read a single detail — and that is a matter of design, not of adjectives. Pick the template that looks like the night you are throwing, put one good photograph in it, and let the address and the start time sit quietly underneath.
- A dark, poster-set template for the ones that start late.
- A dress code field, so nobody arrives in the wrong register.
- A reply form with a plus-one count you can actually cater from.
Before you start
What to put on a birthday invitation
- Whose birthday it is — and which one, if that is part of the fun.
- A start time and, for late nights, an end time or “until late”.
- The venue with a map link; for a home party, the building, floor or gate code in the notes.
- The dress code or theme, if there is one.
- Whether guests may bring someone. The reply form can allow plus-ones up to a limit you set.
The templates
Three designs, each with its own palettes.
Not three colour schemes on one layout. Each template composes the page differently — where the photograph sits, how the names are set, whether the schedule is a list or a timeline.

How it works
Three steps, about twenty minutes.
- 01
Choose how it should feel
Pick the event, then the template. Each one is art-directed with its own palettes — you are choosing between finished designs, not assembling one.
- 02
Fill in the evening
Names, date, place, the run of the day, a few photographs. Everything you type appears in the invitation itself as you type it.
- 03
Send one link
Publish and you have a web page at its own address. Send it however you send anything. Replies come back to one screen.
What you can count on.
Unlisted by default
Reachable by link, kept out of search, absent from our sitemap — unless you decide the event is public.
No account for guests
Opening the invitation and replying to it both work with no sign-in of any kind.
Arabic and English
Set right-to-left properly, in a real Arabic face — or carry both readings at once.
Works on any phone
A web page, not an app. It opens in whatever browser your guests already have.
Questions
Before you start.
Do guests need an app to open a birthday invitation?
No. The invitation is a web page. It opens in whatever browser is already on their phone, with no download, no account, and no sign-in — including to reply.
Do guests need an account to open or reply to an invitation?
No. An invitation is a public web page at its own link. Anyone with the link can open it, read every detail, add the event to their calendar and send a reply — with no account, no app and no sign-in at any point.
Are invitations private?
By default an invitation is unlisted: reachable by its link, marked noindex so search engines do not list it, and absent from our sitemap. Nothing about your account, your world or anyone else’s replies is readable from the page. You can opt a genuinely public event into being listed, and only then does it become indexable.
Can I change an invitation after I have sent the link?
Yes. Edit it and publish again — the link does not change and guests see the current version next time they open it. If you change the link itself, the old one stays reserved and tells anyone who follows it that the invitation has moved rather than showing them nothing.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Creating, publishing and sharing an invitation is free, and so is replying to one.
Can I take an invitation down?
At any time. Unpublishing replaces the page with a short note that the invitation has closed, and keeps the link reserved so nobody else can take a URL you have already printed or sent.
